Poster Activty and Rubric
The final activity of the class will act as a summative assessment. Students will be given the opportunity to design a poster to educate their peers on the importance and benefits of recycling and composting. The students will be asked to include the basics of recycling and composting along with one or two strategies their peers can use to recycle and compost properly. Students should use both visuals and text, however artistic ability and grammar are only being graded based on effort and comprehension. Depending on timing students can either present their posters in person or display them in the hallway. Below is a rubric for the poster activity/assesment, this should be given to students before they begin their poster, so they know what is expected of them.
